Gastarbeiter - Sidero & Chaliva

In 1974, shortly before the fall of the Greek military dictatorship and amid rising tensions in Cyprus, Antonis, a Greek guest worker, and his German colleague Rainer are on the night shift in a steel factory in Germany’s Ruhr area. What begins as routine quickly spirals into a night of drinking, conflict, and strange camaraderie within the walls of their workplace. When unexpected news flashes across the factory TV, Antonis is caught off guard — and begins to wonder whether it’s time to return to a Greece he barely recognizes.
